These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SamScout platform ("Service") operated by SamScout ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Account Terms

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not:

• Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service beyond normal use
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service without our written consent
• Submit false or misleading information through the Service

Billing and Payments

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as explicitly stated in our refund policy. We may change our pricing with 30 days' notice. Payment processing is handled securely through Stripe. You are responsible for providing valid payment information and keeping it up to date.

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by SamScout and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any content you submit through the Service, including proposal drafts and company information. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the Service to you.

AI-Generated Content

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate summaries, analyses, and proposal drafts. AI-generated content is provided as a starting point and should be reviewed and verified before use. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content for any particular purpose. You are solely responsible for reviewing and finalizing any content before submission to government agencies.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Government contracting data is sourced from public databases and may not always be current or complete. SamScout is not affiliated with the U.S. Government, SAM.gov, or any government agency.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SamScout shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account settings. We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
